

Lee H. Johnson Award for Teaching Excellence. This award is to recognize excellence in undergraduate teaching as measured by classroom performance, in part by the following criteria: knowledge of course material; ability to convey that knowledge; ability to create a learning atmosphere; ability to relate and communicate to students; ability to project the engineering profession; patience; availability to students; fairness in treatment of students; integrity; dedication to excellence in teaching; and teaching innovation. There is a 5-year waiting period before a previous winner becomes eligible for the award again. The winner is selected by the Society of Tulane Engineers, and the award is conferred by the Dean of Engineering at the Annual Awards Banquet sponsored by the Society of Tulane Engineers. Recipients
Outstanding Researcher Award. Established in 2001, this award is to recognize outstanding performance in research as measured by the quality and quantity of publications, research funding, contributions in graduate education and mentoring, and national and international recognition. There is a 5-year waiting period before a previous winner becomes eligible for the award again. The winner is selected by the School of Engineering Research and Graduate Studies Committee and the award is conferred by the Dean of Engineering at a formal ceremony at which the recipient delivers a presentation on her/his scholarly work. Award for Graduate Teaching Excellence. This is a newly established award that will be presented annually to a member of the School of Engineering who has displayed sustained excellence, commitment and enthusiasm to the multifaceted aspects of teaching at the graduate level. The winner is selected by the School of Engineering Honors Committee and the award is conferred by the Dean of Engineering at the Annual Awards Banquet sponsored by the Society of Tulane Engineers.
Outstanding Staff Award. The winner of this award is selected annually by the Engineering Student Council and the award is conferred by the President of the Engineering Student Council at the Annual Awards Banquet sponsored by the Society of Tulane Engineers. Recipients
