Welcome!
Welcome to the 2000 Tulane Engineering Forum! The 2000 Tulane Engineering Forum will be held
on Friday, September 22, 2000, at Hilton Riverside and Towers, New Orleans, Louisiana.
The 2000 Tulane Engineering Forum is the first annual conference sponsored
Tulane is a research university (with both prestigious Carnegie Research I status
and membership in the American Association of Universities) located in
New Orleans.
The University was founded in 1834, and the School of Engineering began as
the College of Technology in 1894. The educational mission of the school
is to provide high quality engineering and computer science education in
an active research environment with a strong sense of unity and community
service. The School's research and educational activities are conducted in
program areas of biomedical, chemical, civil, computer, electrical, environmental,
and mechanical engineering, as well as computer science and engineering science.
The School has 55 faculty and a current enrollment of approximately 900 students.
About Tulane Engineering Forum
The Tulane Engineering Forum provides an opportunity for professionals to learn from
experts about important current issues in technology, and how they affect our world
and our future. The forum will enable registered professional engineers to obtain 6
Professional Development Hours for attending.
